CiteTrue

CiteTrue is presented as a citation checker for academic work. According to the page, it searches academic databases to verify citations and flag those that appear fake or AI-generated. The site lists several tools: Citation Checker, which verifies pasted reference lists against academic databases; Citation Finder, which returns peer-reviewed sources for paragraphs of text; Paper Draft, which generates section drafts with sentences tied to sources; and AI Humanizer, which rewrites AI-generated drafts into prose. The page cites over 2,000,000 citations verified and over 40,000 scholars, and says it is used by undergraduates, master's and PhD students, professors, editors, advisors, and reviewers. Testimonials describe checking papers before submission, reviewing manuscripts, and catching nonexistent citations. The page also mentions up to 30 free citation checks per day, a User Guide, API, MCP, Chrome Extension, and Mac App, and a Pricing page, though specific pricing details are not stated on the page.
