Mesa
Mesa is a versioned filesystem for AI agents that lets agents read and write files, run parallel agent branches, and track changes through one API.
About Mesa
Mesa
Mesa provides a versioned, POSIX-compatible filesystem designed for AI agents. Developers can connect agents to the files they need, fork workspaces into isolated branches for parallel agent runs, snapshot and roll back filesystem state, and track changes automatically. The page describes an SDK (@mesadev/sdk) that creates repositories, mounts an in-process filesystem, and runs read, write, and shell commands. It also describes human-in-the-loop review and approval workflows, checkpoints and rollbacks, shared memories and skills, support for any file type including large files, Git upstream syncing for GitHub and GitLab, bring-your-own-cloud deployment, SOC 2 Type II and fine-grained access tokens for enterprise customers. Stated performance figures include sub-50ms reads and writes through MesaFS and millisecond-level forks. Mesa is currently offered via early access waitlist.
Key features
