About Vaquill AI

Vaquill AI

Vaquill AI provides access to more than 5.4 million primary-law sections across all 56 US jurisdictions (federal plus 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the US Virgin Islands and American Samoa). Each section is delivered with its citation and a link to its official source. The service supports citation resolution (including Bluebook-style citations), point-in-time queries via an asOf parameter, change alerts by webhook or email, and multiple formats including plain text, HTML, PDF, XML and DOCX where available. It also serves state session laws as passed for 2025 sessions. Access is offered through a hosted REST API, an MCP server for tools such as Claude, Cursor and VS Code, and SQL querying over the object store, plus a vector index option. The page states the corpus is downloadable as an open dataset free for non-commercial use under CC BY-NC 4.0. Case law is not covered according to the page's FAQ. Free credits are offered for personal projects, student work, and academic research, and the page lists Pro and Business plans with API credit allotments.
